Larry

I have a CD-RW drive and a DVD drive setup externally
using an Oxford 911 bridge card (1394). Both drives work
wonderfully except that I have been unable to run games
from either of these drives. If I place the game CD into
one of these drives I will get a start up screen but the
game will not start or the game will give an error that
the game disk is not in the “D” drive. Other then this one
little problem I have not ran into any other problems.
Both drives work for their intended purpose. The DVD drive
plays DVD’s and will read data on disks. The CD-RW drive
reads and writes data just fine. Is there a way to fix
this? Could this be due to the games being installed using
the D drive and not one of the external drives?

My friend, you have my sympathies. You can usually only run games from the
CD which they were installed with.
Sometimes there are setup files associated with the games that can be
changed. Sorry.
