Hi,

I have an ATI Radeon 9550 with tv out. Now i wanted to extend my desktop to
the tv (for running media center on it) but it seems not to work :(

When i click on the Extend the desktop onto this monitor for the second
screen and click apply, my first screen flikkers few times but not get
extented, each time the extend option is set of again

Installed the ATI beta drivers, still not working.

Is this a vista bug or has this something to do with my card?

I've just tried to repro this one by extending my desktop onto a spare
television I have - doesn't work for me either. I've got two monitors it
says in the Display panel - both saying Multiple Monitors on Mobility Radeon
9000/9100 and it won't work for me either (before anyone says so, I've got
Classic theme on seeing as Glass isn't supported... I know!)

I've tried different resolutions, different settings, Identifying, but
nothing :o( I'll file a bug :o)

Works just fine for me using the X800XT, L2335 and a generic 17".

Hi,

I had this problem also but resolved it by installing the NVidia drivers
from their site (as I have a 6800).
It looks like the Microsoft (Nvidia/ATI) card drivers don't support multiple
active screens.

You might want to check the ATI site about this support in their Vista
drivers and offcourse does anyone from Microsoft know about a fix/work
around for it?

Greets,
Martin

I did install the ATI beta drivers, maybe they dont support dual screen
either.

I have an ATi 9700 Pro, and I've had no problems with dual screens using
either the standard drivers or the ATi drivers.
