Extended display

I can't get the extended display to work.
This computer had extended display in win 98, but since i
loaded win2k, it won't work.
Dell Inspiron 7500

Any help would be appreciated

It is REALLY important to tell us what video card(s) you are using for this
issue.


THat Being Said:

Go to Control Panel -> display -> settings

Do you see 2 monitor icons?
If so is "extend my desktop to this monitor" checked for both monitors?
If not
Download and (re)install the latest Win2000 drivers for your video
card(s), reboot, and recheck the display properties.

Still not working:
Further investigate using the device manager (control panel ->system ->
hardware ->device manager). Particularly the "display adapters" and
"monitors" sections. Are any of the devices in these sections missing or
marked with a Yellow or red icon?
Troubleshooting here is kind of an art, but if you still are having
problems, ask again and someone will assist (provide any info you have
gleaned, and things you have tried).
