Can anyone tell me how to print capital E with acute stress (as in
PRECIS) and small e with umlaut? As in NOEL?

I've tried the on-line help which gives a control code but this doesn't
seem to work.

Thanks.

Ctrl-`,E for the first. Don't know how to get the umlaut but I suspect that
Suzanne Barnhill does. Otherwise, Insert => Symbol works well.

Note that you can customize your keyboard using Tools => Customize =>
Keyboard (button)

Select symbols in the box on the left and the particular symbol on the
right.

Ctrl+`, e will give an e grave (è). For an e acute (é), you need Ctrl+', e.
To add an umlaut to any vowel, use the Ctrl+: (colon) setup key.
