Extend the boot Partition

Is there a way to extend the c: partition to make it
larger. This is my system/boot partition and it was
created on a basic disk and converted to dynamic disk.
It is only 5 gb in size and I have a d: partition that is
8gb in size and I would like to combine them to get a 13
gb partition. Is that possible? Are there and 3rd party
applications that will do this? Partition Magic will not
work on w2k/server2003. Is there anything else?

AFAIK, dynamic disks can't be resized. (BTW, I never could understand
the advantages of dynamic disk, and haven't gone that route. Have you
found any advantage over basic disk?)

If you are finding 5GB a little small, I suggest a) you do a through
clean-up; and b) you uninstall some of your larger applications from the
C: partition, and reinstall them onto the 8GB partition. Clean out old
data. If you need to keep it, burn it to a CD. Etc.

OTOH, 13GB total for a WinXP/2000 system is kinda small, especially if
you are fooling around with graphics and video - those data files can
gobble up space at an alarming rate. Maybe you could find a cheap hard
drive in the 10-20GB range, and use it for data, thus releasing a good
deal of disk space on the other partitions for program files.
