Have xp professional and would like to record for more than 60 secs using
Sound Recorder

Microsoft gives answer for win98 in Q82215
Last reviewed Dec20 2004 but xp not added to 'Applies to'

Is it OK to use in xp or not?
If not what could I use?

It's ok to use those steps in WinXP, it's just that the article never got

That will work - I don't know of anything else to do with Sndrec. Or
look for a third party program. Sndrec is intended for recording
things like sounds for windows events, not much more

More specifically, how in Heck do I find article Q82215 ? I've tried every
trick I can think of on the Microsoft website with same answer; nothing
found...

Would like to up time on my SR so I can at least TRY recording songs from LP
albums no longer available on CD. It works but there is that 60 second
limit that fouls up my efforts.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
