Hello,Purchased a new PC with WindowsXP Home.Have a ext.firewire drive
connected by firewire cable to my other PC with WindowsME.The new PC
will have the NTFS file system. Can I connect the firewire drive
without NTFS to the new PC and have it recognized and used as a
storage device without changing file system?
Thank You.

You should be able to connect the drive. I would first make sure that any
important files are copied elsewhere, since XP may want to format the drive,
if it can mount it.
