i bought a new computer with 143 gigs and when i set it up i was left with
118 gigs. I do alot of movie viewing and noticed that i am down to 107 gigs
of memory on my hard drive but do not download, can anyone tell me if this is
my problem and how I get back those used gigs of memory??

1st of all you are talking about HD space not memory or RAM.
Have you done a disk clean up........right click the
drive..properties...disk cleanup
Have you cleaned out the Internet Cache??
How much space have you allocated to Restore Points that are created
daily???
Just a few of the things to check
peter

how do i " clean out my Internet Cache and how do i see how much space i have
allocated to restore points. thanks peter

Chris - good advoce so far - however regarding "... I do alot of movie
viewing and noticed that i am down to 107 gigs of memory on my hard drive
but do not download,...". Viewing multimedia "uses" a lot of HD space.

Space you address in your post - from 118 gigs to 107 gigs is not a serious
"drop" considering multinedia use

BTW - You mentioned "new" computer - does it have a recovery partition?
