Recently activated outlook, imported the address book/rules, made outlook my
default. however express was still active like running parallel apps.
seemed i had to click send/rec to get mail in outlook, and even then some
mail would hit and stay in express and have to be imorted. when wife or i
went to express we'd click no to request to make express default. finally
wife accidentally clicked yes to express default, can't seem to undo it.
outlook won't receive mail now and am importing it from express. do i
uninstall express?

You can't uninstall Outlook Express for several reasons. The thing to do,
though, is to either stop running it (it may be in your Startup program
group), to uncheck the option to include the mail account when
sending/receiving, or simply remove the mail account from OE. No mail
account means that it can't fetch mail.

To make Outlook the default mailer again, open Internet Explorer and click
Tools>Internet Options>Programs and make sure the "E-mail" dropdown says
"Microsoft Office Outlook"
