Express Burn is a freeware offering by NCH Swift Sound.
The following URL points to the download area for the program.

Initially, I was disappointed in the find, because it had a
problem ... and still does, but it is still very useful for
MOST circumstances, unless the user attempts to burn a
structure having MORE than 5 folders deep, including the root.

Express Burn will permit burning audio files to make a music
CD, or to burn a data disc from selecting a list of individual
files. You CAN choose to select an entire folder as well as
individual files .. provided you observe the above caveat of
no more than 5 layers (including the root). It also will make
an .ISO file from any CD, or to burn an existing .ISO to a
CDROM disc.

I have been in communication with the company, that knows
about the problem of the 5-layer limit. Hopefully, they
will fix that bug.

But, the bottom line is .. Express Burn is the smallest and
fastest single-file standalone client I have found for easy
carrying around on my thumbdrive. It comes in either a
setup.exe or in .zip format. With the .Zip format, it is
easy to extract ONLY the single executable, the meat of it all.

Recommended!

That must be the reason why I couldn't copy across folders. It was, like
you say, very useful for creating music CDs.

And for ~380kb, it was a very quick download, (even on dial-up).

Cool.

Too bad it doesn't do DVD. It could be an "all in 1" to replace BurnAtOnce,
which seems to be out of development.

Both the ZIP file and the EXE file contain "Setup.EXE" There's no way to
unzip just the EXE file. :(
