I want to be able to capturer the windows explorer settings ( windows
appearance/view, hidden or non hidden extensions, show hidden files or not,
full path in the address bar etc....)

I would like to be able to export these setting and apply to the/any new
machine ( also xp pro) I sign on to.
Is this possible and what key or keys would I need to export?

Jeremy

Unfortunately, this is not possible. The settings are stored in many
different places. In addition, some may require an account with
administrator access.

Helllo Leonard, thanks for the feedback.....
If given the ADMIN right was a non issue, meaning I have it on everything I
login to and I narrowed the settings down to three.
1. File view ( Detained list )
2. Extensions not Hidden
3. Show full path in address bar.
Would the answer still be the are multiple keys in multiple locations, not
possible?
How many locations are we talking about? Given that they are not in one
convenient location is not a show stopper for me.

I do not know the specifics of those three items. However, I can make
those adjustments manually very quickly, and frequently do.

Still looking to capture the registry locations for the following. 1. File
view ( Detained list ) 2. Extensions not Hidden 3. Show full path in address
bar. ( for those that want more explanation) I am using an application called
flex profile to capture users settings and apply to them machines they sign
on to, within the VM environment. Meaning, if I have 500 Virtual XP images a
user may get another machine at every login, and may not want to set up the
following views on every machine they use every time. If I can locate the
registry locations, I can capture that and apply it at their login. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.
