Exporting to text file

I have an Access report that needs to be exported to a text file. I need a
flat file with different record types to import into another program.
The report fields need to be in exactly the same place everytime it is
exported. It works beautifully on one XP machine, but drops some of the data
when it is exported to a text file on other machines.
If I view or print the report, all the data is there, but the text file
varies according to the workstation it is created on.
I am using XP with all windows critical updates and Access 2003 on both
machines. I thought it might be related to default printer, but changed them
to be the same with no luck.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

I'm not sure if I understand exactly what is happening, but

for what it is worth, I had to export a text file from our web based company
database and import it as a text file to my machine. I found that it was
importing with a carriage return when I pulled it out to my machine, but the
developer was able to pull the file without a carriage return. I had to
delete .txt in explorer --> tools-->folder options-->file types. Then open
word pad navigate to view-->options -->Text (&/or Rich Text) set the word
wrap to no wrap.

The next time I tred to open a .txt file I was given the opportunity to
associate it with a program. I picked Word Pad from available programs and
it opened without wrapping.

Hope this helps
