I have a rule in Outlook 2002 that works great! It searches incoming email and if it finds a keyword, a .bat file is executed and net send popups appear on multiple desktops. However, when I import the rule to a maching with Outlook 98. I receive the message Improper Format. IT is the file with the RWZ extension created by Outlook 2002. Please help.

Sounds like you might be trying to run a rule that Outlook 98 doesn't
support.

It appears to not be supported; however, the file extension (.rwz) is the same for import/export rules with regards to both versions of outlook

The file extension is irrelevant. All versions of Outlook support rule
actions and conditions that previous versions don't.
