Exporting Report

I have two PC's. One PC has Access, a slow printer and no communications
line. The other PC has WORD and a fast printer. I can read/write CD's on
both. I want to create an access report on the one PC and print it on the
other one. I tried exporting the report, burning it on a CD, reading the CD
on the other PC, but it fails to print properly - extra space is allocated
for the fields which creates a wraparound. Is there a way I can export and
print this report so that it looks like the image I see in Access?

Yes, you would either save it as a PDF file using a free pdf writer (such as
cutepdf.exe) or you can save it as a snapshot format.

If you do it as pdf, you will need adobe acrobat viewer or similar on the
printing PC. If you do it as snapshot, you will have to use the free
Microsoft Snapshot Viewer to view/preint it.

Hope that helps,

Thanks Rick,
I can proceed with the snapshot idea, but out of curiosity, how do I get the
free cutepdf.exe program?

Do a search in google. There are several free pdf writers. CutePDF is the
one I have always used (despite the silly name) and it works well.
Basically, it creates a dummy printer. When you send a report to that
printer, it will pop up a save dialog box.

In my experience, more people are able to read pdf files than Microsoft
Snapshot. Anytime I send a report outside my company, I always try to use
pdf.

Good Luck.
