I am exporting a report, that just has one detail line. I
get a blank line at the top and then approximately every
90 records. Is there a way to eliminate these blank
lines??

Hi Ken,

What format are you exporting it to?

If to plain text, it may help if you ensure that all vertical dimensions
in the report are exact multiples of 0.125 inch.

Do these appear when you print the report, or only when you export it?
I've heard of some problems with mysterious blank lines when printing
reports but don't know the details.

It's probably worth using
http://groups.google.com/advanced_group_search?hl=en
to search microsoft.public.access.reports. If you can't find anything in
the archive, I suggest you post again in that group, giving more details
about your version of Access and the format you're exporting to.

John,
Thanks for the info. I did set the height to .125
inch. When I run the report it looks fine. When I
download to a .txt file I get a blank line at the top,
then it looks like one per page. Is there an option to
make the report continuous with no page breaks? That may
solve the problem.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Ken,

My first thought is that if you're exporting a report with just one
detail line to a text file you could probably export a query instead.

Otherwise, I don't know. For the blank line at the beginning, make sure
that whatever controls you have in the report and/or page header are
right at the top (.Top=0).

As for the one-per-page blank lines, I don't know. One possibility: make
certain that an exact number of detail lines fit on the page. I.e. check
that the height of the page (in Page Setup), less the top and bottom
margin, less the height of whatever combination of headers and footers
may occur, is an exact multiple of the height of the detail section.
