Exporting Report to MS Word with all formatting

I have a report that I want to export to MS Word and keep
the check box w/results; the lines that I have separating
the data; and the color codes that I have indicating
status. When I run the general "publsih with word" the
data goes over fine but I lose some of the formatting.

It is possible or is there a snippet of code somewhere
that exports to word without losing the formatting?

Thanks for your help.

wmd,

I don't believe that is possible. Notice that when you use the "Publish
with Word" menu option, that you are creating an RTF document, not a Word
DOC file; and they are not the same.

One possibility to consider, if the report does not need editing after it is
produced, is to output your report to a PDF file, which will retain your
formatting, checkbox and colors. There are many no- or low-cost PDF drivers
available for download (use http://www.google.com to find them), and the
Acrobat Reader is also a free download.

Cheryl,

Thanks for the feedback. I like the adobe suggestion and
will like to implement that. I have adobe writer and
reader and the user community has at minimum adobe reader.

I tested it manually with a report and the results were
exactly as I would like. However, I do have one challenge.
That challenge is this: I don't want the users to have to
take a manual step to save the report as a pdf. The
challenge is I am not sure what the object is to select
the adobe driver as the printer for this particular report.

I have checked my access dev handbook and there is code to
control your printer but I am wondering if there is a
different route that will get me to the adobe driver.

Thanks
