I have Outlook 2003 on my office computer and want to export this data in a pst format that can be opened on my home computer that is running Outlook XP. When I try the this, upon importing into Outlook XP it tells me that the file "is not compatible with this version of the Personal Folders information service. Contact your administrator." Any suggestions on going from 2003 to XP
Thanks
Stev

Sure.
Do not export.
Instead, create a new PST file in the old format and copy the data into it.
As has always been the case, exporting is a poor choice for transferring
data from one installation of Outlook to another--so much so that Microsoft
chose not to support it.

Could you explain how to create a new PST file in the old format? And once created, how do I copy the data into it? Thanks for your patience

File > New > Outlook Data File... Your choice should then be obvious.
Copy and paste data from one data file into the other.

Once you create a new PST file, you will have two Personal Folders files
open.
R click and drag the Folder you want to copy from the old file to the new
one. Select "Copy" from the Context menu.
