Exporting data to Excel

Hi, I am using Access 2003 and Excel 2003. In Access I have a music
catalogue based loosely on the MSoft template. It contains tables and
sub-tables and reports and sub-reports, eg a typical report would show a list
sorted by recording artist, followed by the name of the CD, followed by the
tracks. It looks something like this:

BEE GEES

135 Bee Gees Number Ones
1 Massachussets
2 World
3 Words
4 I gotta get a message to you
5 etc

46 Still Waters
1 Alone
2 I surrender
3 I could not love you more
4 et

44 This is Where I Came In
1 This is where I came in
2 She keeps on coming
3 Sacred trust
4 Wedding day
5 etc

How can I export to Excel all the data? So far I have only been able to
produce a list of CDs by recording artist or my CD title, but I have not
found a way to bring it all across. Basically I want to be able to
reproduce all the data in Excel for someone to use that does not have Access.

I would welcome any suggestions.

Thanks so much and Happy Christmas!

Hi Trish,

Create a query that joins all the necessary tables to produce output
like this (| indicates the end of one field and the beginning of the
next):

BEE GEES|135|Bee Gees Number Ones|1|Massachusetts
BEE GEES|135|Bee Gees Number Ones|2|World
BEE GEES|135|Bee Gees Number Ones|3|Worlds
....
BEE GEES|46|Still Waters|1|Alone
BEE GEES|46|Still Waters|2|I Surrender
BEE GEES|46|Still Waters|3|I could not love you more
....
....

Thank you John - that worked perfectly.
