Exporting back to DV cam a problem

Hi
I recently shot a 3 minute film and when it was edited, re-saved it back into the camcorder. Everything seemed ok and the Movie maker wizard said that the process had been completed successfully but when i played the tape back on the camcorder (and then the TV), the picture persistantly flashed on and off between each frame, so much so that the final movie ended up being 15 minutes long rather than just 3 mins. I've tried to use the Windv programme but either nothing records or i end up with the same problem as before (depending whether or not i press the 'play' button on the cam). There is definitely enough space on the computer, the camcorder is DV in and out compatible and i've tried doing this about 20 times.
It's probably something relatively straightforward that's going wrong but i cant' seem to figure it out. Does anyone have any ideas or have had the same problem and learned how to solve it?
Any ideas appreciated

thanks

If you saved it OK to the hard drive and it played fine in Windows Media
Player, then it's probably a firewire cable or card..... assuming you are
using a firewire connection and you've saved the movie from MM2 as DV-AVI.

Maybe borrow another cable... and try the process on another computer with
the same camcorder.
