Exporting address book

I need to export my address book contents from Outlook
2000 to transfer it to a new computer. However,
the "export" option in the File menu in the address book
is greyed out and won't function. Can anyone tell me what
might be causing this? Is there some option I need to
change, or is this a really big problem? Thanks.

The Address Book is simply a view of your Contacts Folder. It contains no
data.
Export your Contacts Folder. That's where the data is.
A better solution is simply to make a backup copy of your entire PST file,
so all your Outlook Data will be saved.
