Exporting a report to Excel and/or Word

I have a current report that when I export to excel or word the current
formatting is not the same as the report. Is there anything I can do to
correct that?

if you are more interested in excel - you can consider exporting the
underlying query/table rather than exporting the report (in 07 exporting a
Report to Excel is no longer available)

as to going to Word - I've never had a problem in going from Report to Word
so not sure why that is changing....
 
I have the same problem with Word. I carefully get my Access line to contain
exactly the same number of letters as my word document, and ensure fonts and
margins on both Access and Word are the same. Still sometimes I get
difference in formatting. I suspect its because we use proportional fonts,
and while I might measure in "w, h,k" (the wide lettes) in actual usage I use
"i,l" (narrow) and this might affect the spacing.
