In Daytimer Organizer 2000, I could drag a contact to the
calendar and automatically set up a meeting with that
person, or I could drag a contact to the task window and
create a task to call that person. Is there a similar
feature in Outlook 2000 where I could export a contact
person to a meeting or to a task item to call that
person. It is a convenient feature to drag a contact to
a calendar or task and have the computer enter the
contacts's name, address, and telephone number -
otherwise, I have to type it in every time.

Thanks,

Terry

Yes, you can do the same thing in Outlook. If you right-click and drag the
contact to the Calendar or Tasks folder, you'll get a popup menu with
several choices for creating the calendar or task item.
