When I export files, I see the text of the email message
but not the date of the message. I need the dates.
Help please

This happens when you export to a file other than a pst-file. If you want
the dates you are beter off with importing from Access. This will leave the
date field and create primary key for the mails as well. The only thing with
importing from Access is that the resolved names are imported and not the
SMTP addresse. It's a bit of a pain really. Zierot posted the same problem;
Exporting Received field from messages; 16-8-2003. Still no solution found.

I'm in the same boat.
So far it has been suggested that the table view of the messages be
selected, cut and pasted into another application like Excel, but this
removes the messages themselves. Roady suggests loading a .pst directly
into Access, but this removes the addresses. One has to wonder why, but
it seems that Outlook's export feature is very poorly conceived. I have
found that if you simply save a folder with all messages selected to
..txt, you get every message verbatim in the text file, but the files are
completely unparsed, so reconstruction into a database requires a macro
of some kind. This would look like a good third party product, but I
haven't seen one yet.
