Access Export to Preformated Excel Document

I have a similar issue as Daryl above...
I have created an Access db and would like to export it to
a preformatted Excel spreadsheet that has lines of text,
image, and formulas in the first 7 rows. I would like to
specify where data goes into Excel.

Can this be done? It is also a linked spreadsheet from
Access to Excel.

Thank you.

Hi Jana,

This sounds like a mess: exporting data from Access to a worksheet that
is also the data source of a linked table and a display-formatted sheet
to be seen by the user. Can't you just use an append or update query to
write the data to the linked table? (define a named range on the sheet
to include only the table area and exclude the top rows apart from the
column headers).

Otherwise, one or other of the solutions in this article
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;247412 should
let you do what you want.

Hi -

I am just an occasional user of Access. I will try your
suggestion.

Thank you.
