I am trying to export schedule information from an Access table to Outlook:
Tasks.
In Outlook: Import: ... Map fields: I mapped my employees name (Resource ID
- which I believe is a number but shows as a person's name on the screen) to
the Outlook: Tasks: "subject" field.
I also matched Access: "Schedule date" field to Outlook: Tasks: "Due date"
field.
After the import to Outlook is complete, the Outlook: Tasks: "Subject field"
is always blank. (Though the schedule date is there just fine where it should
be.)
I suspect that the reason this is happening is because Access: "Resource ID"
(a number) field depends on "Resource Name" (words in the Access: "Resources"
table). The due date is pulling directly from the Access table "Schedule,"
the table specified in Outlook: Import: "IMPORT FROM TABLE "SCHEDULE."
This database was downloaded off of microsoftoffice.com: Templates. The file
name is 01000405.
If it is possible to, please help me get The Resource ID to export as an
employee name. I don't know what I'd do without the help from this site and
the good people that support it. Thank you in advance.
