I have a report that is basically a letter but when I transfer it to MS Word
to to updates thats text comes all distorted, any suggestions

Access Reports don't export all that well, unfortunately, especially
if you export to .rtf or .html formats. Take a look at "Automation" in
the online help - you can (with some code and some hassle) actually
write the data in a table or query directly into a Word document.

I solved it saving the report with another name e then exporting to the rtf
format.
