Export to Excel

J Shrimps, Jr.

Got a bunch (36) of queries that export
to Excel. Summarizing spreadsheets
(not created from Acccess) link to these
exported queries.
When Access exports a query/table,
the first sheet in the spreadsheet
is always the name
of the query/table.
Have an Excel macro that opens each
spreadsheet, renames the first sheet
(there's only one sheet, the spreadsheet
is written over every time with fresh data),
and closes the spreadsheet.
Is there a way to name the first worksheet
when you export to Excel in Access?

Not as part of the export, no.

You'd need to either use a different name for the query (create a copy of
the query with the new name and export the copy of the query -- which can be
done via VBA programming), or change the worksheet name after the export is
done (also can be done via VBA programming).
