I have Outlook 2003 and would like to export .pst file
compatible with Outlook 98. Some discussions indicate
that it is possible, but I cannot find the option in the
Export wizard.

I can export to a .pst but I get an error message when
Outlook 98 tries to open it.

Any suggestions?

Tks,
Jim

Select File | New | Outlook Data File and create a new Personal Folders
(Outlook 97 - 2002) file. Copy/Move the items you want into the legacy pst
file and then right click on personal folders and select close. (You can't
export from a unicode into an ansi store.)

Create a new .pst file in Outlook 2003, select one that is compatible with
Outlook 97-2002. Open it in Outlook 2003, drag and drop your data to the
new .pst file and use that one to open (not import or export) in earlier
versions of outlook.
