PowerProducer Gold 2.0 came with my DVD burner but it will not import the
completed moviemaker files, only the raw wmv files. Is there any way I can
make it import MM files? Failing that, is there software that takes MM files
directly and can burn a DVD?

The raw collection files were saved as wmv (I think) but the project (which
was I wanted to burn) was being saved as somethingMM, which my DVD software
couldn't see. Reading the Sonic web site (!) I discovered how to save the
movie in different formats, such as wmv and avi, which the software can
read. Odd that I had to go to Sonic to find out how moviemaker works.
Crossing my fingers but I think the problem is solved. Thanks.

I want to burn my project to a DVD as well. I have a Sony pc with Click to
DVD and DVGate software. Do I save as avi? I am about to finish my project.
I presume I want to save to my hard drive? Can I make changes to my movie,
before I burn it of course, but after saving to my hard drive? The movie is
about 50 minutes long. Thanks

Mark

you didn't need to go to sonic for that. MM has a help
file. You are not the first to try and burn the project.
You must "save Movie" not "save as". "save as" just saves
the project. You actually have to finish the movie before
you can burn it.

If you are not done with your editing then just save the project NOT the
completed movie.
Once done editing THEN you can save it in either AVI or WMV to your HDD and
import to your DVD program. Once you save the movie you can't edit it within
Moviemaker.
