Hi... I'm kind of a newbie so bear with me.
I have several large tables of up to 10k to 20k records. My predecssor
stored these in excel and built very elaborate formula tables to break down
all of the information. Because of their size, I've imported these tables to
Access, but still need to do the Excel Style analysis that we're currently
using. The records that in these tables is appended to daily and is analyzed
at least once a week.

So do I:
A)Export the tables to an excel work sheet, calculate the formulas, then
delete the external data, and if so, whats the best way to do that... OR
B) Figure out the equlivent of the complex excel formulas to do the same
analysis in Access...

In desperate need of help...

thanks

i would suggest B. and keep it in Access. if you import to
access because of size and keep appended to it then it's
just going to get bigger. the formula work is done. all
you need to do is convert xl formula to access.

I assumed the same. Hopefully converting the formula codes to access isnt as
difficult as I'm afraid it's going to be.

Any suggestions?

I appreciate the help.
