export table contents to .txt

I am trying to export a table to .txt format with a saved specifcation. My
friend says she could do it, but when i try to export this table, it does
not prompt me to choose specifications. It just exports this table with its
own specifications.


Please HELP!!!

Are you using File, Export? If so, then after you've hi-lited the table to
export and chosen File, Export, it should ask you where you want to export
to. Then once you specify the file you want to export to you should see the
Export Wizard. Click on the Advanced tab, and one of the choices on that
screen is to choose your saved specification.
 
thanks a lot. I think i figured ot out. I was using a wrong file type
selection from the drop down.
