Anybody knows how can i export a sound file inserted into
my presentation ?

Save the presentation as a web page, then look in the folder full of
supporting files that PowerPoint creates. Your sound should be in one of
the sound files there.

Hello,

PowerPoint does not have a built-in feature for exporting embedded sound
files, although most inserted pictures can be exported (one by one) without
the use of VBA or add-ins.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that PowerPoint provide
features which facilitate the disassembly of a presentation into it's
various components as individual files, don't forget to send your feedback
to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions)

Thanks for the good info on embedded sound, etc. There is one option that I've suggested to the wish list that would make this easier for lots of portability issues. It would be great if you could specify a "relative path" like is possible in unix. Instead of a full path starting with a drive letter (which can change from one system to the next), us a "./music_file_name" This would be portable to any location as long as the ppt file and all associated music/etc were put in the same directory

I think this could solve a lot of portability problems for lots of embedded objects/files/etc

Thanks for listening... Jim Hulings

There's no UI for it, but it can be done and PPT respects relative links to
subfolders about as well as it does relative paths with no folders. Our
FixLinks addin supports this type of linking ( http://www.pptools.com )
