Hi, all.
I export report to Excel and all my long text fields become truncated with
only 255 characters length. It's true for any my report with long fields.
Help, please.
Thanks in advance.
Serg.

You need to make sure that your Export Spreadsheet type is specified
as acSpreadsheetTypeExcel9. The default is often
acSpreadsheetTypeExcel8, which corresponds to an older version of
Excel (?97) which cannot copy with long strings.

Thank, Peter.
But I don't know.
I do next:
- in Access in pop up menu on my report I choose export
- in dialog box I choose File Type "Microsoft Excel 97-2003" and press
export
and have Excel file with truncated fields.
Please, say what i do not so.

I was assuming that you were doing the export from VBA code. I also
assumed (though your original post was quite clear) that you were
exporting a Table or Query, since these are generally the only things
that it makes sense to export to Excel. I don't think that you can do
anything to change the Excel format that Access uses in exporting
Reports, and if it is Excel 97 compatible, as the dialog implies, it
will not support long strings.

Thank, Peter.
