Export of Report Data Issue

I have a report that contains the desired data when in
preview mode, but when the data is exported from the
report to Excel, some of the data is changed. The field
that contains the changed data is a text value
like "779484-001" but when it is exported through the
report to Excel, some of the data turns into values like -
654815.

If we change the data in the report field by concatenating
a character at the beginning of the data, Excel will
recognize the data as being a string with a character at
the start (S779484-001), but if we do not, Excel seems to
recognize some of the data as a value and not a string.

Does anyone know if there is a way to force Excel to
recognized this string as a string when exported?

Hi Kevin,

Are you running into the issue note in

Thanks, Eric.
It sounds like I have a very similar issue.
I have forwarded the link you provided to the developer
having the issue, as well as suggesting he export the
query data instead.
