Hello:

Just curious if anyone knows if you can export a GPO from Windows 2003 and
import it to Window 2000. The reason I am asking is I am using Windows 2000
and I want to get the "Wireless Network (IEEE 802.11) Policies" from Windows
2003 into my Windows 2000 AD network. The location of this GPO in Windows
2003 is:

Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Wireless Network
(IEEE 802.11) Policies

Does anyone know if this can be done and what the steps would be? Thanks

You could copy the .ADM files from a Windows 2003 policy (in the
sysvol\policies\{guid} folder) and add it to a W2K policy. HOWEVER, the
settings might not be treated properly on W2K if the WAN subsystem does not
implement the settings as policies. But you could try.

please disregard this post, I read the text a bit too quickly. Since this is
not an administrative template, I don't think you can do it. You could try
to find out which dll's implement the policy extension, and distribute that
to all domain controllers, but I seriously doubt that it will work.
