Use Dnsdump from www.reskit.net/scripts You can export and import all zones.

Honestly, if the zone you want to export is a Secondary zone, why bother?

Just create a Secondary zone on a different server and specify the same
master and the zone will populate. I can understand if the zone is a
Primary, but then again if that's the case, you can make one of the
Secondaries a Primary, then on the new server, create a Secondary of it,
allow transfer, then change zone types.

Unless of course you have numerous zones, then you would want to script it.

I BELIEVE he is trying to export a 'lot' of ZONES
and so doesn't want to spend a lot of time right-clicking
and creating them individually.

Kevin gave him DNSDump....

DNSDump is a nuice tool, but then again, it's a Secondary she wants to
export. Why bother? If this is the case, shecan use DNSCMD in a batch file
to recreate all the secondary zones on the new machine in one shot. The data
will transfer anyway, so no need to export it. You know what I mean?

As I indicated this secondary likely has MANY zones.

I believe the issue is about creating the (many) zones, and
setting them to replicate from the Master (i.e., the majority
of the data in each zone is likely of secondary <grin>
interest.)

hi, what about moving an existing secondary zone to a new server? i mean, i
have zone2.zone1.com on srv1 and i want to move only zone2 to srv2.

thanks!
