I would like to export Full Name, Company, Mailing Address, Business Phone,
Business Fax, Home Phone and Email address for each of around 4,000
contacts. I haven't been able to find a way to select Mailing Address. When
I copy and paste into Excel, the Mailing Address field separates and
scatters. I tried to create a CSV file in Word by merging to a catalog and
adding the " before and after each field separated by a comma. I was then
going to save it as a text file. It added end paragraph marks after the
first and second lines of the mailing address.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried exporting your Contacts to a CSV file directly?

File
-> Import and Export
-> Export to a file
-> Comma Separated Values (Windows)
-> Select Contacts folder.
Give the file a name, e.g., contacts.csv and OL should take care of the
rest.

Then open your CSV file in Excel.
