I'd like to copy the entire calendar on work computer,
and import into home computer, both using Outlook XP. Is
there a way to export work calendar as a file and email
home for importing? Thanks much.

Sean

Create a new .PST file on your work computer -- use File | New | Outlook
Data File -- and copy your Calendar folder to it. Close the new file by
right clicking its root folder and selecting Close from the menu. Now you
can copy that file to your home computer and open it in Outlook using File |
Open | Outlook Data File, and copy the items from one Calendar folder to the
other. Make sure the file is not marked read only before you try to open
it -- if it's on a CD, copy it to your hard drive and then remove the read
only attribute.

Thanks for the tip. When I opened the .pst file at home
and copied to the default outlook folder, it created
another calendar, "calendar1". Is there a way to merge
these two calendars so it also shows in Outlook Today?

p.s. Instead of copying my work calendar to a new .pst
file, I exported the calendar folder to a .pst file, hope
this didn't make a difference.

Thanks.

You will need to move the items from within the Calendar1 folder to the
Calendar folder (use drag and drop), and then you can delete Calendar1. As
far as exporting goes -- were you exporting from an Exchange mailbox or
another .PST file? Generally it's better to re-use a .PST file or copy
items from one .PST to another (or even from Exchange to a .PST) because the
import/export process can be buggy...but you probably didn't do any harm
using the export in this case.

This is gonna sound like a dumb question. Do I have to
drag and drop them one be one (which is a lot), or can I
sellect all of them and drag once?

Sean

You can select all (CTRL+A) and drag once.

Actually I already tried that (CTRL+A), it did nothing.
Draging them once at a time works, except for recurring
items. "Moving" or "Copying" also didn't work, it only
creates a sub-folder under Calendar. Any other ideas?
Appreciate your help.
