export as .mpg

i was wondering if there is a way to export as a .mpg file from MM2 to make a
DVD.

No, you need to export as a dv-avi and then use your dvd authoring software
to convert it.
 
No. You can save it as DV-AVI and then use another software to compress it to
mpeg. I use VideoStudio but there are many tools out there.
