I don't believe that it can be done. What you can do is to export the data
to a specific set of Excel cells (a Range) then base an Excel report on that
range. If you save that as a template, you'll be able to reuse it.

I agree, don't know of a way to do keep the formatting.
You would also lose formatting if you exported to Word
(.rtf). The easiest way (no code) is to simply export the
report using the menu selection <Tools | Office Links>

If you look in the database window, find the report and right click it,
there is an oiption for Export. One of the supported formats is Excel.

You can Query the Database, using MS Query,
directly from Excel!

Run Excel
Data>Import External Data>New Database Query
select 'MS Access database*' - OK
Navigate to the database - OK
Follow through the Wizard:
Select Columns - NEXT
Apply Filter Criteria - NEXT
Apply Sort Criteria - NEXT
select 'View data or edit query in Microsoft Query' - FINISH
You will now see an "Access-like" Query Window - Microsoft Query!
This Query can be SAVED and REUSED and EDITED.
Look at the File Menu - Open, Close, Save, Save As,
......Cancel and return to Microsoft Excel,
Return data to Microsoft Excel!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In other words, if your target is Excel then create the report from
within Excel, using Microsoft Query!
Also to learn more, search Excel Help for 'Microsoft query'.

Hi,
Thanks for the help, What I needs is export the exactly access report
format and design into excel format.Any idea of this?

Your Report in Access is based on a Query.
An IDENTICAL Query can be used with MS Query
to return that SAME data directly to Excel.
This is the FASTEST way to obtain Data for analysis.

Alternatively (copied from ACCESS HELP):
1.. In the Database window, click the name of the object you want to save.
To save part of a datasheet, open the datasheet and select a portion of the
datasheet before continuing.

2.. On the File menu, click Export.

3.. In the Save as type box, click Microsoft Excel 5-7 (*.xls) or
Microsoft Excel 97-2002 (.xls).

4.. Click the arrow to the right of the Save in box, and select the drive
or folder to save to.

5.. In the File name box, enter a name for the file (or use the suggested
name).

6.. Select the Save formatted check box.

7.. Do one of the following:

a.. If you are saving a datasheet, click Export All to save the entire
datasheet or Save Selection if you selected a portion of the datasheet in
step 1.

b.. For all other database objects, click Export.

Suggest you try both
