I have never done this before and don't know alot about
html files, when I have a report on the screen in preview
and do an export, then select HTML file type the report
is put into a html format. The problem I have is the
columns don't line up. I don't understand what kind of a
template I need to setup so the report will display in
nice columns so I can put them on the web.
I hope someone can point me in the correct direction.
Thanks for your help in advance.

Tom,

Access certainly has its limitations as regards this process.
Basically it creates a single-row table for each record, so there is
no inherent coordination between the rows. However, I have found it
is possible to get it looking ok with a bit of fiddling around. Here
are some of the factors that seem to come into it, as regards your
report design...
- make sure that no controls are touching each other, either
horizontally or vertically.
- be generous with the horizontal spaces between controls, i.e. leave
gaps.
- try formatting the controls via the Format|Size|To Fit menu.
- If you have labels in the header, make their size and alignment the
same as the corresponding Detail controls.
It may be necessary to have one version of the report that is set up
as appropriate for printing, and another version set up as appropriate
for the html export.
