Exploring the recycler folder in Windows XP Home

George

Norton anti virus 2004 has located several adware files
and has failed to delete them. They are located in the
c:recycler folder. How do I access this folder (as it
appears to be hidden) in order to delete them manually?

Hi George,

Same problem over here. I manually removed the adware file(s) using
the DOS command prompt.

1. Start --> Run --> opens the run dialog box
2. Enter "cmd". Click "OK" --> opens the DOS dialog box
3. Navigate to the "Recycler" folder.
- type "cd.." at the prompt to move up the directory
- type "cd Recycler" at "C:\" to access the Recycler directory
4. Type in "del <filename>" to delete adware file(s)
Hope this helps!
