ExplorerXP is a very fast, small, compact and innovative FREEWARE (for non -
commercial use) file manager for Windows 2000/XP.Unlike the regular Windows
Explorer, it displays the total size of each folder and allows you to browse
multiple folders from a tabbed interface. It also includes an option to
split and merge files, and to select or delete files based on wildcards.

I was reading through their forums yesterday and came across this new
thread that kept me from installing and trying the app.

It looks promising and definatly worth keeping an eye on, but I think I'll
wait for a little while and see how development progresses.

I make a general habit of staying away from all explorer replacements.
They have a long history of causing crashes.

So far I've not had any problems with it. I like the merge directories
feature.

I have not looked at ExplorerXP, but FWIW I can recommend Tracker. It may
not have the same features but is a useful program (for all Windows OS
except 95):
