I had a XP update crash on me. It left me with a blank
update screen everytime I logged in on the admin account
in XP. I was able to trace the problem to the
explorer32.exe file that is loaded at XP startup. I
removed this file from the startup and that took care of
the blank Update screen. However, I am sure I need that
file. What do I need to do to get a working copy of this
file back??

Nothing, because like most executables that are xxx32.exe it's a trojan (yep
virus code writers aren't becoming any more creative). It goes by the name
of Fraggle Rock (as in the Henson '80s TV show) and, like it's brethren
'KWBot' and its ilk, protests when its removed to make you believe you've
removed a valid file. All AVP developers have a database of
virus/trojan/worm threats that you may search to find removal instructions.
Visit the website of yours, type 'explorer32.exe' into the search box and
look for the Backdoor.Fragglerock entry and follow the instructions.
