Ocassionally I'll get an "explorer.exe" error...says it's
going to shut it down then it refreshes my screen minuse a
few shortcut icons. What could eb the problem?

- There are a lot of .dll files that Explorer depends on, and one of these
could be corrupt. To resolve this kind of thing, run SFC /SCANNOW from the
command prompt.
- It is possible that an installed 3rd-party component could be loaded that
is causing the problem. A poorly written .dll loaded under explore.exe
could cause it to crash. To disable these components, go to Internet
Explorer. In the Advanced tab of Inernet Options is a checkbox for "Enable
third-party browser extensions", clear it. You will need to restart for
this change to take effect.
NOTE: One of these .dlls may have been installed by spyware, in
which case the above setting might not be enough, you should run Adaware
(or something simliar)
