when I try to open a folder on a mapped NT4.0 server, the
flashlight starts then in a few seconds the screen
refreshes and I go back to an idle cursor. I have
installed all updates from Windows Update site and have
tried registry hack to set NoRemoteRecursiveEvents.
Nothing helps.

Hi

Did you try to map the same drive from another computer and see if the connection works. Did you see if you have privileges to connect to the mapped folder. Try this simple steps and see

1. type \\servername\foldername from "Start | Run" and see if it opens
2. type \\servername and see if u are able to see the folders on the server which have shared folders

The server and folder are accessible. I can search other
folders on the server, I can search the folder for
specific files. I can't get the folder list to coem up
as the files within it are constantly being updated.
