Once again I'm getting the following message when I try to
open Explorer! I have all updates!

"Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to
close!"

Before I 'Send Report', I look in the details and get the
following info:
Appver: 6.0.2800.1106
Mod name: Winshow.dll
modVer: 1.0.0.1
Offset: 00002783

I can't find anything to overcome, or resolve, this issue!
Help?

As a side issue; In several of the 'resolutions' for this
kind of problem there is a reference to a folder C:\program
files\support software. I have no such folder! Why?

And the only file 'Winshow.dll' I can find is in C:\Windows.

All this doesn't make sense! any help?

We were having this problem yesterday, and while reading posts on this site last night we found something that worked for us. Type in http://00hq.com go to bottom of page and click unistall winshow popups. Hope it works.
