Explorer Window size/locatoion won't stay the same

I run Win XP Home Edition on a HP with a 1.3G processor. I just restored to
a setup from about three weeks ago. Now the window for 'My Computer' has
gone back to the small size and is randomly placed on my screen when I open
it. (I used to have it all the way to the right and the entire height of my
screen). Closing the window with 'Shift' and the 'close button' has no
effect on saving the current screen size and location info.
Any ideas?

Place your cursor on the window corner till it turns to a double arrow and
drag it to the size you want. Then close it. XP remembers the previous
window size when you next open it

Even when I resize it and close it, it goes back to the original size. Also
if I close it while holding the shift key, it still goes back to the
original size.

Do a google for a program called Zmover :)

That baby saves everything, size posistion anything you want cool
little app, even worth the money :)
