I am using WXP and have defragged, cleaned up startup, run spyware detectors
and antivirus all the time but I have notice a significant slow down in the
time it takes for explorer to open the menu when you right click. Does
anybody know why this might occur? Is there a way to change
options/preferences for explorer?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You've already done some great work. The next most likely thing here is that
your temp file caches have become clogged.

See my Computer Health steps -- you've already done many of them -- at
http://aumha.org/a/health.htm. Pay particular attention to Step 4, "Taking
Out the Trash."

I had this issue accross the wan. It was dealing with an
application that was install on a WAN pc that had to come
accross to get its license file. After the app was
removed the right click on explorer return to normal
speed.

Thank you for the input. I should have also mentioned that I frequently
clear the IE6 cache's, cookies and I don't cache passwords or forms. The
only thing I haven't done is clear the temp file recently. I will try this.
Other than TweakUI is there any way to manage the properties of explorer?

Thanks again.
