Explorer running extremely slowly and unable to view pics on website

I have done virus checks and uninstalled and reinstalled
explorer 6 several times. I have also updated from this
Microsoft site. It runs so slowly, I've had to download
Netscape (GASP!) to view the web at all.

Also, I have problems viewing pictures on websites, only
half of them will load and it takes 5 minutes or more to
finish downloading, if at all.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated!! Thanks!

Clear the IE cache. I.E./Tools/Options/General/Delete files (and delete
offline content.) It's often recommended that the Temporary Internet Files
(folder) be kept at
40-50 MB. Bigger isn't necessarily better.
